“Music is food for your soul” is a punchline regularly crossing the mind of Belgian DJ Sylvetje, and her soul is hungry. Leading a modern day nomad life, electronic music has faithfully followed her as it allows her to express her emotions and ever sparks her creativity. After having been at the helm of a fashion label called Lounge Lover since 2004, Sylvie decided to dedicate more of her time to the gods of music.

Sylvie’s musical story begins growing up in the lowlands of Flanders, where the Sound of Belgium set the foundations for her future musical preferences. Regular visits to the isle of Ibiza added the Balearic state of mind to her musical spectrum, meaning that no sound will pass without a positive and happy flavour to it.

To share the ‘good vibes’ she adores, Sylvetje can be found behind the decks of the most established places in London (Hovarda, Mandrake, Steelyard, Kadies, Beat…) and recently exported her sound to Tulum, Paris, Montreal, Lisbon and of course Ibiza.

Sylvie is also the co-founder of Sonic Soulmates, spiritual events focusing on connection trough gong healing and electronic music.

In 2021 Sylvetje released her first track ‘Sangita’ with Nic Cammelli and a second release ‘Yuman’ is planned for February 2022. As for the style of music she drops, one could call it deep, organic, melodic techno… but, what’s in a name?
